  • November 3
    • First Friday Art – Downtown G.J.
    • Wine Among the Vines - Two Rivers Winery Chateau
      • Fundraising event with the theme “Mad Hatter Tea Party.” Offering delicious appetizers, wine and beverages as well as a silent auction! Celebration of the fall accomplishments of their volunteers and supporters.                                          Admission $35. Hours: 6-10pm
    • Demo Night – November First Friday at the Art Center. 1803 North 7th Street
      • Tradition that started in 2007 of local and regional artists filling the galleries with various types of materials and demonstrating their techniques. Appropriate for all age. Free Admission. Hours: 7-9pm.  
    • Museum Exhibit – Museum of the West 462 Ute Avenue
      • Alfred Packer: Solving One of the West’s Great Murder Mysteries” Begins November 3rd, and runs through March 1, 2018. The museum will feature paintings from Jack Murray from the investigation, forensic evidence that was never shown to the public, western relics and historical memorabilia from the Packer case.
  • November 4
    • Rim Rock Run 2017 – Colorado National Monument
      • Full marathon and relay, 2-person team marathon. 26-mile point-to-point along Rim Rock Drive. The route is through the Colorado National Monument and finishes in downtown Fruita in Circle Park, also where music and food vendors will be located at. Proceeds from the marathon are to benefit CMU’s Track & Field and Cross-Country student athlete scholarships. Hours: 8AM.
    • Cultural Fest at Mesa County Public Library – 443 N. 6th St.
      • Nations and cultures from a variety of continents will be represented. Some participants will serve samples of traditional foods from their native lands and would love to answer any questions! Free Admission. Hours: 11am-3pm
    • Rocky Mountain Women’s Expo – Two Rivers Conventional Center
      • Largest gathering for businesses, services, food, fashion for women in Western Colorado. Admission $5.
    • Grand Junction Video Game Con 2017 – Western Colorado Community College (WCCC)
      • Celebrating the fun of retro video games! There will be a game swap, retro video game system demos, arcade demos, tournaments and prices, etc. This fundraiser will help the WCCC Student Digital Design Program.    Admission $5. Hours: 10AM-7PM
  • November 10
    • Rittz at Mesa Theater – 538 Main St.
      • Live at Mesa Theater! Admission: $25-$30. Hours: 8pm.
  • November 11
    • Be Our Guest at the Colorado National Monument!
      • November 11 & 12 the National Park Service fee-free days to celebrate Veteran’s Day! This is free for everyone, not just veterans/military.
    • Free Admissions for Veterans/Military – Colorado State Parks
      • Offering all veterans and active duty military free admission to Colorado’s state parks on Veterans Day. MUST HAVE VALID ACTIVE, RESERVE OR RETIRED MILITARY IDENTIFICATION CARD; AN IDENTIFICATION CARD FROM THE VETERANS’ ADMINISTRATION, DISCHARGE PAPERS or Other proof of service. ID card should be represented at the gate and all other passengers in vehicle will be free as well.
    • Powderhorn National Ski Patrol Ski & Snowboard Swap – Colorado Mesa University.
      • On November 10 & 11, the Powderhorn National Ski Patrol will be having their annual ski swap. It is a great opportunity to get new skiing and snowboarding equipment. You can sell or swap out for other equipment! ALSO, if you are wanting to promote some of your inventory, this a great place to bring it!        Hours: Friday 6-9pm | Saturday 9 am – 3 pm
    • Veteran’s Day Parade – Downtown Main Street 8th to 3rd Street
      • Sponsored by the Veteran’s Committee of the Western Slope, Hours: 2 pm.
    • Veteran’s Art and Music Extravaganza – Avalon Theatre 645 Main Street
  • November 17
    • Downtown Grand Junction Holiday Tree Lighting – 4th and Main Street
      • Wells Fargo Christmas Tree and the rest of Main Street will officially light up their trees to begin the Holiday season downtown! Santa will make an appearance and visits with kids all while live Christmas music will be performed! Hours: 5:30pm.
  • November 18
    • Kids Friendsgiving – Mesa Mall
      • Kids can join others in the Mesa Mall to celebrate who and what they are thankful for! There will be food, tons of fun, crafting, and a thankful tree! Free, Hours: 11am-12:30pm.
  • November 23
    • Grand Junction Turkey Trot 5k & Little Gobbler Run – Starts & ends at Two Rivers Convention Center
      • On Thanksgiving Day, the 5K will be held downtown. The little Gobbler Run will be a short dash down Main Street for the little ones. NO ANIMALS.                   Hours: 9:30AM
  • November 25
    • Art and Chocolate Walk – Downtown Palisade
      • Nibble on chocolate, talk to others, and shop for unique gifts! There will be fine art, gourmet foods, toys, jewelry and a variety of gifts! If you pick up a punch card and get it punched from each location, you have a chance to enter to win a big gift basket that will contain art and chocolate! Free Admission.
